MINOT, ND – For the first time since 2018, the Minot Minotauros are heading to Robertson Cup. The #2-seed Tauros will battle the #3-seed Maryland Black Bears in a best-of-three semifinal series this weekend in Blaine, Minnesota. The Black Bears return for the second consecutive year. The other semifinal series has the #1-seed Lone Star Brahmas against the #4-seed Anchorage Wolverines. The Brahmas are back at the Robertson Cup for the first time since 2017, when they won it all. Game one of the semifinals in Friday, game two is Saturday, and if needed, game three is Sunday. The Robertson Cup Championship game will be Tuesday, May 21st. The Tauros play at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday’s game would be at 6 pm. All game are played at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN.

UND MENS BASKETBALL
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (UND) – University of North Dakota head men’s basketball coach Paul Sather announced on Monday that Mier Panoam has transferred to the program for his final three years of eligibility beginning in 2024-25. Panoam comes to North Dakota after spending one season at Tulane, where he appeared in nine games for the Green Wave. The Anchorage, Alaska, native averaged 1.2 points per game, 0.2 rebounds per contest and went 3-for-6 from the field in those appearances. Panoam played a season high eight minutes in a win over Sacramento State while scoring a personal-best four points in seven minutes in a victory against Prairie View A&M. Prior to his collegiate career, Panaom was a standout at Norcross High School in Georgia, earning all-state and all-county honors while also being named Region 7-AAAAAAA Player of the Year after averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.8 steals during his senior campaign. He was rated a three-star recruit and the 27th-best point guard in the nation by 247Sports in 2022-23. He is the younger brother of former UND player and current Director of Basketball Operations Bentiu Panoam.

NDSU MENS BASKETBALL
FARGO, N.D. (NDSU) – The North Dakota State University men’s basketball program has signed transfer Luke Kasubke, NDSU head coach David Richman announced Monday. Kasubke comes to NDSU from Illinois State, where he played two seasons from 2022-24. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Kansas State from 2020-22. Kasubke will be utilizing his final season of eligibility with the Bison in 2024-25. A 6-foot-5 guard from Chaminade High School in the St. Louis metro, Kasubke has logged 1,800 career minutes across 99 games – 46 at Kansas State and 53 at Illinois State. He owns single-game highs of 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Kasubke was a two-time Class 5A all-state selection in Missouri, scoring nearly 1,500 points in his prep career.
