Was named the team MVP at Bond Academy after averaging 9.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game … Reached double-digit scoring in six of 12 games played with four double-doubles … Pulled down double-digit rebounds in seven games … Tallied 24 steals with eight multi-steals games, including a five-takeaway game against Essa Prep … Recorded five or more offensive rebounds in seven contests … Had a monster 18-point, 17-rebound game in an 89-54 win over Bill Crothers S.S. FARGO, N.D. (NDSU) – The 2024 college football season opener between North Dakota State and Colorado has been rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29, at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo. Start time and television network are still to be determined. Details are expected at the end of May when network partners with the Big 12 and other major conferences set their broadcast schedules. NDSU fans have until 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, to request tickets for the Colorado game on GoBison.com. Tickets will be allocated based on NDSU’s priority points system. A travel package will be offered through NDSU Team Makers. North Dakota State, under the direction of first-year head coach Tim Polasek, is playing Colorado for the first time in program history. The Buffaloes are entering their second year under head coach Deion Sanders. The Bison are 9-4 against FBS opponents after having a six-game FBS winning streak snapped in 2022 with a 31-28 loss at Arizona. NDSU is 3-1 against Big 12 opponents with wins over Kansas (6-3 in 2010), Kansas State (24-21 in 2013) and Iowa State (34-14 in 2014). This will be North Dakota State’s first Thursday night game since the 2009 season opener when the Bison lost at Iowa State, 34-17. After visiting Colorado, the Bison will play their home opener against Tennessee State on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Jaden McDaniels scored 25 points for a career best in the playoffs and spearheaded another stifling defensive performance by the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 105-93 victory over the Phoenix Suns to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series on Tuesday night. Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert each had 18 points for the Wolves to offset a smothering of Anthony Edwards by the Suns, who held him to 15 points on 3-for-12 shooting after allowing him 33 in the opener. The teams head to Phoenix for Game 3 on Friday night. Minnesota has held a 2-0 series lead only one other time in franchise history, against Denver in the first round in 2004 en route to a 4-1 series victory. Devin Booker scored 20 points, Kevin Durant added 18 and sixth man Eric Gordon had 15 for the Suns, who again failed to get their high-octane offense in gear.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Alex Kirilloff hit a two-out, game-ending single after Byron Buxton led off the ninth inning with a tying homer, and the major league-worst Chicago White Sox fell to 3-20 with a 6-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. Chicago joined Cincinnati in 2022, Detroit in 2003, the St. Louis Browns in 1936 and the Cleveland Spiders in 1899 as teams to start 3-20. The 1988 Baltimore Orioles began 1-22. Trevor Larnach hit a 433-foot, two-run homer in the eighth to get the Twins within 5-4 and help set up the heroics by Buxton and Kirilloff against Steven Wilson (1-2). Buxton hit a line drive off the left-field foul pole, and Kirilloff pulled the ball into right field to score pinch-runner Austin Martin with the winning run. The Twins have won three of four after a five-game skid.
