Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
On Wednesday, January 23rd, First District Health Unit will host two training sessions on how to use Narcan: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM or 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM. This free training is open to parents, educators, medical providers, and anyone else who would like to learn how to administer the rescue medication Narcan, whether or not your life has been impacted by addiction.

The training will be held at the First District Health Unit office at 801 11th Ave SW in Minot. Enter through Door B. No advanced registration is required and there is no fee. Ten participants will be randomly selected each session to receive a free box of Narcan. Narcan is the nasal spray version of Naloxone, an antidote which is used in the event of an overdose of heroin or other opioid drugs; working within a few minutes of administration.
