Area wheat producers will want to mark down Thursday, February 8th, on their calendar....

    MINOT, ND - Area wheat producers will want to mark down Thursday, February 8th, on their calendar. That's the day the NDSU Extension Service will present the Best of the Best in Wheat Research and Marketing Workshop at the Grand Hotel in Minot. The event is sponsored by the ND Grain Growers Association and ND Wheat Commission. The daylong event includes information on insects, disease, herbicides, yield potential and much more.     BISMARCK, ND - The North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA) has registered a final label for the Dicamba formulation of FeXapan by DuPont. The other formulations for use on soybeans, XtendiMax by Monsanto and Engenia by BASF, received final labels last month.

    As part of the registration, NDDA clarified training requirements and placed additional application requirements through the form of 24(c) Special Local Needs (SLN) labeling. Applicators that wish to use FeXapan, Xtendimax or Engenia must follow the requirements on the SLN labels. They must also have SLN labels in possession at the time of application.
