TAMPA (AP) - The Tampa Bay Lightning host the Washington Capitals at the start of the Eastern Conference finals tonight -- the third time in four years that those finals have included the Lightning.
Tampa Bay has gone 6-and-1 at home so far during the playoffs, while the Capitals are 5-and-1 on the road.
Of the four teams remaining in the race for the Stanley Cup, Tampa Bay is the only team that has won it before. The Capitals, Jets and Golden Knights are all looking for their first trophy.
Since 2009, the Cup has been shared by just four teams -- Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.

TORONTO (AP) - The Toronto Raptors have fired coach Dwane Casey after the team was swept in the playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers for second straight season. The move comes two days after Casey was honored as coach of the year by the National Basketball Coaches Association.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP)- Rookie quarterback Josh Allen says the only time he became rattled during his first Buffalo Bills practice was when he was introduced to Hall of Famer Jim Kelly. The first-round draft pick says today he was "shaking" while standing beside Kelly in a meeting of Bills quarterbacks past and present.
Allen says he hopes to one day have his name included in the same sentence with Kelly, who guided the Bills to four consecutive AFC championships in the early 1990s.
The Bills traded up five spots to select the Wyoming quarterback with the No. 7 pick two weeks ago. Kelly made a surprise visit for the start of two-day rookie minicamp some six weeks after his latest operation to have cancer removed from his jaw.

MADRID (AP) - Top-ranked Rafael Nadal has been defeated by Dominic Thiem 7-5, 6-3 in the Madrid Open quarterfinals, breaking the defending champion's run of 21 straight wins on clay courts. Nadal hadn't lost a single set on clay since falling to Thiem at the Rome Open quarterfinals one year ago.
Since that loss, Nadal had been impeccable on his preferred surface. He had won the French Open and the hard-court U.S. Open to take his Grand Slam haul to 16, and he came to the Spanish capital fresh off winning his 11th titles at both Monte Carlo and Barcelona. But Thiem beat Nadal at his own game, finishing long rallies with winners and avoiding the costly hitting errors that sunk Nadal's title defense.
