Rain has caused changes to the schedules for Class A West Region baseball, softball and tennis tournaments...

    MINOT, ND - Rain has caused changes to the schedules for Class A West Region baseball, softball and tennis tournaments.

    The baseball tournament in Bismarck has postponed todays games and moved them to tomorrow. All four of today's games, plus the two state qualifiers and championship will all be played tomorrow using two fields.

    The softball tournament here in Minot still hopes to play today's games. Teams were told to be at the South Hill Softball Complex by 3 pm and two fields will be used once rain stops and their cleared.

    The individual girls tennis tournament has been moved indoors at Cameron Indoor Tennis Center.

    Meanwhile, the State Track & Field meet is being held today and tomorrow in Bismarck.

    ST. CLOUD, Minn. (MSU) - Minot State senior Michael Borst garnered his second all-region honor as The National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced their Division II Central Region teams.
 
    Borst was named to the All-NCBWA Central Region Second Team after landing on the D2 Conference Commissioners Association All-Central Region Second Team earlier this month.
 
    The McHenry, Ill. native hit .391 this season with 15 doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 61 RBI this season. Borst was a perfect 31-for-31 in stealing bases while notching a .615 slugging percentage.
 
    Borst set eight DII single-season records at Minot State this season in starts (54), hits (70), runs (59), RBI (61), walks (32), intentional walks (5), times hit by pitch (16) an on-base percentage (.500).
 
    Minot State concluded the 2019 season with a 36-18 overall record and finished second in the NSIC Baseball Tournament after falling to Augustana in the championship game.
